Setting up email on your domain
Resend EU for contact-form delivery (included), plus the £3/mo mailbox bolt-on for sending and receiving from your domain. DNS records explained.
Last updated 3 June 2026
Email on your domain has two separate jobs. (1) Receiving what visitors send via the contact form. (2) Sending and receiving human-to-human email from a hello@yourbusiness.co.uk mailbox. Different infrastructure for each.
Job 1 — contact form delivery (included on every tier)
Your contact form delivers via Resend EU (Frankfurt) — EU-sovereign, GDPR-compliant by default, sub-second delivery.
When a visitor fills the form, Resend sends the email to whichever inbox you’ve nominated (typically your existing personal or work email). The “from” address is hello@yourbusiness.co.uk so when you reply you reply from your domain.
DNS records required (I set these for you when the domain flips):
Type Name Value
──── ───────────────────── ────────────────────────────────
TXT @ v=spf1 include:_spf.resend.com ~all
TXT resend._domainkey (long DKIM key I generate per domain)
TXT _dmarc v=DMARC1; p=quarantine; rua=mailto:dmarc@yourdomain
These records tell receiving mail servers that Resend is allowed to send on your domain’s behalf, which keeps form submissions out of spam folders.
Job 2 — mailbox bolt-on (£3/mo per mailbox)
If you want to send and receive email from hello@yourbusiness.co.uk (vs your personal gmail), that’s a separate service called a mailbox.
Two routes:
Forwarding only (free) — Cloudflare Email Routing forwards hello@yourbusiness.co.uk to your existing personal inbox. You can receive but you reply from gmail, which shows the gmail address. Fine for a side hustle.
Real mailbox (£3/mo per mailbox) — I provision a mailbox on Migadu (Swiss, EU-resident, GDPR-compliant) which gives you proper IMAP/SMTP. You add it to Apple Mail, Outlook, the gmail app, or use Migadu’s web client. You both send and receive from your domain.
Most clinics, solicitors, schools, and accountants take the real mailbox route — looking like a real business matters for regulated-vertical credibility.
Adding a mailbox
WhatsApp me the addresses you want (hello@, jordan@, bookings@ — whichever) and I’ll provision them within the hour during working time. £3/mo per mailbox added to your monthly Stripe invoice; no setup fee.
You’ll receive: the mailbox address, an auto-generated initial password (change it on first login), and the IMAP/SMTP server settings for your email app of choice.
What about Google Workspace?
You can run Google Workspace alongside the UK Web Marketing site — the DNS records don’t conflict. £5.20/user/month direct to Google. Mention it in the brief and I’ll set the MX records to point at Google instead of Migadu. (Note: Google Workspace data sits on US-resident infrastructure, which matters for regulated verticals; Migadu doesn’t.)
What about Microsoft 365?
Same — runs alongside fine. £4.80/user/month direct to Microsoft. Same EU-sovereignty caveat as Google.
