What you actually face
Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE, statutory guidance) sets a higher bar than UK GDPR's baseline. The Data Protection Act 2018 specifically protects children's data. The Department for Education expects schools to know where pupil information is held — including across digital systems the school doesn't directly run.
Most independent-school websites have been quietly handing pupil and parent data to US-resident form processors, CRMs, and tracking pixels for years. It hasn't been litigated, but it's been flagged: the ICO's children's-data agenda is active, and parents asking serious questions of senior leadership teams are increasingly sophisticated. "Where does our enquiry land?" is no longer rare.
A UK Web Marketing site is built on UK + EU infrastructure end-to-end. No US-resident tracking, no US-resident form processor, no US-resident CRM. Sub-processors named on /compliance.
What the site does
Admissions, fees, transport, uniform, term dates, the SEN process — surfaced where parents look first. Not buried under "About Us → Welcome from the Head".
Minimum data capture (name + email + child year group), explicit consent + retention period, named DPO. Encrypted in transit to EU-resident inboxes.
No images of identifiable children without explicit consent records. No personal stories that could de-anonymise a SEN learner. DSL (Designated Safeguarding Lead) contact prominent + accurate.
Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018 apply broadly. Built to the strictest tier from day one — covers SEN access, visual + cognitive impairments, screen-reader users.
Which tier fits
For: a small school, SEN provider, or tutoring service that needs a credible online presence + parent enquiry handling.
Includes: 5–10 pages incl. admissions / fees / SEN policy, technical SEO, contact form, EU-sovereign hosting.
For: a school running open-day cycles + active admissions outreach. Parent journey: research article → open-day booking → enquiry.
Includes: Foundation + Capsule CRM (parent contacts) + Resend EU newsletter (term updates) + 2 articles/mo (Year-group focus, SEN explainers, sample-day diaries) + lead magnets (e.g. "Our SEN process explained" PDF).
For: larger schools with operational complexity — open-day deposits, after-school clubs booking, parent communication automation.
EU-sovereign real mailboxes (Proton) at £15/inbox/month for child-facing inboxes (admissions@, sen@, dsl@) sending parent + safeguarding communications.
