Free tool, real service behind it

Check any domain free. Then let us run it for you.

Type the name you want and we will check it instantly against the live registry, no email, no sign-up. Beyond the check, we help you choose or secure the right name, then run the technical side for you: DNS, email routing, mailboxes, deliverability and security.

Works for .co.uk, .uk, .com and most other top-level domains · powered by RDAP (the official replacement for WHOIS) · no data stored.

What makes a good business domain

  • Short and memorable. If your customers have to spell it slowly down the phone, it is too long. Aim for under 15 characters before the dot.
  • No hyphens if you can avoid it. Hyphenated names ("my-business.co.uk") get misremembered constantly. Drop the hyphen if the unhyphenated version is free.
  • .co.uk for UK-only businesses. Customers expect it, Google rewards it slightly in local search, and Nominet (the .uk registry) has strong consumer-protection rules.
  • .com if you want to grow. Costs about the same. Easier to ditch if you ever expand outside the UK.
  • Skip ".uk" alone unless your .co.uk version is taken. Customers still default to typing ".co.uk".
  • Avoid trendy new top-level domain extensions (.shop, .online, .digital). They look unprofessional to UK customers in 2026 and rarely rank well.

What the free check does

An honest answer, straight from the registry.

No guesswork and no upsell to see the result. The check reads live registry data, tells you plainly whether a name is free, and hands you alternatives if it is not.

Live registry data, not a scraped list

Every check queries the registry that actually runs the extension over RDAP, the official replacement for WHOIS: Nominet for .uk and .co.uk, Verisign for .com and .net. You see the same answer a registrar sees.

No email gate, nothing stored

Type a name, get an instant answer. There is no sign-up, no email wall, and we do not store what you type. RDAP is free public data, so there is nothing for us to charge for.

Alternatives when it is taken

If your first choice is gone, we check a set of sensible variations for you and show which of those are free, so you leave with a shortlist rather than a dead end.

The name itself

We help you choose it, or check the one you want.

A domain is the front door to your whole online presence, so it is worth getting right. We can lead the naming with you, or pressure-test a name you have already settled on, then secure it in your name.

Lead: we choose it with you

Tell us what you do and who you serve, and we will suggest names that are short, spellable down the phone, free of hyphens, and available across the extensions that matter, .co.uk for UK-only, .com if you plan to grow.

Assist: you have a name in mind

Already set on something? We check it across extensions, flag the traps (a taken .com you should defensively hold, a lookalike a competitor owns) and tell you straight whether it is worth building a brand on.

Secure it properly

When you are ready, the domain is registered in your name, at cost, with no markup and no renewal games. You own it outright, and we prompt you at renewal so it never lapses under you.

Once it is yours

The technical side, run and monitored for you.

Owning a domain is the easy part. Running it properly, DNS, email and the security baseline, is where most small businesses quietly fall behind. This is the standing capability we operate, described as exactly that.

DNS management

Your DNS run on Cloudflare with DNSSEC and CAA in place, so records resolve fast, cannot be quietly tampered with, and only the certificate authorities you trust can issue for your domain.

Email routing and mailboxes

Business email set up on your own domain, with the right MX and routing, plus mailbox and team onboarding, so new starters get a working address on day one and nothing is tied to a personal account.

Deliverability that lands

SPF, DKIM and DMARC configured properly so your mail reaches the inbox instead of the spam folder, and so nobody can spoof your domain to phish your customers.

The security side

TLS on everything, sensible security headers, and DNSSEC, CAA and DMARC as the standing baseline, the technical hygiene most small businesses never get around to, run and monitored for you.

The full service

Domains and email, handled end to end.

FAQ

Domains, checking and email, answered.

Is the check really free?

Yes. The check is free, there is no email gate, and we do not store what you type. RDAP is free public registry data, so there is nothing for us to charge for. We built the tool because people choosing a domain are usually about to build or move a website, and building and running websites is what we do.

Do I have to register the domain through you?

No. The check stands alone, and you are free to register anywhere you like. If you would rather not deal with any of it, we can choose or secure the name with you and register it in your name at cost, with no markup. Either way the domain belongs to you, not to us.

What is the difference between the free check and the managed service?

The free check tells you whether a name is available right now. The managed service is the ongoing technical work once you own it: DNS, email routing and mailboxes, deliverability (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and the security baseline (DNSSEC, CAA, TLS). One is a lookup; the other is running the domain properly for you.

Can you fix email that keeps landing in spam?

Usually, yes. Mail landing in spam is almost always missing or broken SPF, DKIM or DMARC records. We audit what you have, set the records correctly, and monitor DMARC reports so your mail lands and your domain cannot be spoofed. It is one of the most common things we put right.

.co.uk or .com?

For a business that only serves UK customers, .co.uk is usually right: customers expect it and it signals you are local. If you plan to sell beyond the UK, .com is the safer long-term pick, and it costs about the same. If both are free, many businesses register both and point one at the other. We will advise for your case, not a blanket rule.
