Managed website service for UK small businesses.

Subscription-based design, build, hosting, and ongoing support — from £45/month. No setup fee. No contract.

What's included

Everything a small UK business needs from a website service — on one monthly bill.

A managed website service replaces the four or five separate invoices most UK small businesses end up paying for build, hosting, maintenance, email and analytics. One bill, one builder, one stack.

  1. Production website

Custom design, hand-coded — not a recycled template.

  2. EU-sovereign hosting

Vercel London (region lhr1) — sub-second mobile LCP, free SSL, DDoS shielded.

  3. Daily backups

    Automatic, version-controlled, restorable on request.

  4. SSL + domain pointing

Certificate management + DNS configured against your registrar.

  5. Monthly content updates

Text edits, image swaps, hours, service descriptions — included, within scope.

  6. Performance optimisation

Core Web Vitals tuned: LCP, INP, CLS targets enforced as a release floor.

  7. Security patching

No plugin sprawl to patch — but dependencies, headers and CSP audited at every release.

  8. Email integration

Resend EU for transactional mail; Cloudflare Email Routing for inbox forwarding.

  9. Analytics dashboard access

Plausible EU, cookieless, white-labelled at analytics.{yourdomain}.

  10. Direct WhatsApp support

Message the builder, not an account manager. Same-hour reply in working time.

Compare with…

How a managed website service stacks up against the alternatives.

The three options most UK small businesses weigh up before choosing a website subscription — with the real numbers.

  1. Versus Wix or Squarespace

Template-locked, US-resident infrastructure, GDPR posture is on you. Typical £15–40/month plus app upsells, no design help, no developer to call. A managed website service replaces the whole stack: build, hosting, support, EU sovereignty.

  2. Versus an agency one-off

Typical UK small-business quote: £3,000–£15,000 upfront for build, then £150–£500/month retainer for hosting + updates. Over three years that's £8,400–£33,000. Foundation at £45/month over the same period is £1,620 — you save roughly £8,400 over 3 years versus a typical agency rebuild, and you never face a six-month redesign quote.

  3. Versus WordPress

Plugin fragility — 30+ updates a year, theme breakage on major releases, vulnerability surface that grows with every plugin you add. Average WordPress hosting + maintenance retainer runs £80–£200/month before any actual work. A hand-coded site replaces the maintenance treadmill entirely.

Across all three comparisons, you typically save £8,400 over three years versus a typical UK agency rebuild on the same scope.

Why UK businesses choose this model

The reasons a website subscription beats a one-off build.

  • Lower upfront cost — £45/month versus £3,000–£15,000 for a one-off agency build.
  • Continuous improvements — no quote-per-change overhead; small updates land the same week.
  • Direct builder access — message the engineer, no account managers between you and the work.
  • Cancel anytime — no contract, no minimum term, no exit fee.
  • EU-sovereign infrastructure — GDPR-aligned, no US data flows on the client-data path.

FAQ

Managed website service — answered.

How quickly does the site go live?

Most Foundation sites are live in days, not months. After you start, I produce a private preview link within the first week and we iterate from there. Growth Engine and Bespoke take longer because there's more to set up (CRM, newsletter, integrations) — typically two to four weeks to launch.

What happens if I want to cancel?

Cancel any time, one-click from your Stripe email. The subscription ends at the end of the month you've already paid for. Within the first 14 days you have a full statutory cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 — full refund, the site comes down, you keep your domain plus anything you brought.

Do I own the site?

Yes. The domain is registered in your name. After 12 paid months, the site files can be handed over on request. Your Stripe, Vercel and Google Business accounts sit in your email throughout — you can walk away with the lot whenever you like, no questions, no exit fee.

Can I move hosts later?

Yes. Astro produces a static-first build, so the output is portable HTML, CSS and JavaScript — it'll run on any host that serves static files. Hand-over is a zipped repository plus deployment notes; not a proprietary lock-in.

Is there a setup fee?

No. Foundation is £45/month from day one with no upfront fee, no anchor pricing, no discovery-phase upcharge. Growth Engine and Bespoke are billed the same way (Bespoke is quoted per engagement, but never with a separate setup invoice).

Do you migrate from Wix or WordPress?

Yes. I carry over your content, photos, Google reviews and search ranking history. The new site replaces the old one on launch; the old one comes down only when you say it's ready. If you have an unusual setup (multi-language WordPress, custom Wix code blocks), tell me first so we can scope the migration accurately.

How are content updates handled?

Minor changes are included every month at no extra cost — text edits, swapping an image, updating opening hours, adding a service description, contact-info changes, basic SEO tweaks. Major changes (a new page, a redesign, a new feature like online ordering or a booking system) are quoted separately. WhatsApp me with what you have in mind and I'll be straight about which side of the line it falls on.

What does Bespoke include versus Growth Engine?

Growth Engine bundles lead generation, newsletter, Capsule CRM, 2 articles/month and weekly analytics — same dashboard as Foundation, faster response cadence. Bespoke is for complex or regulated builds: multi-site networks, custom TicketWave HQ module wiring, helpdesk SLA, monthly written reviews + quarterly strategy calls. Quoted per engagement so the numbers reflect actual scope.
