Process
How it works.
Five plain steps from a first chat to us running your whole online setup for you. Written the way we would actually explain it, what happens each week, what we do, what you do, and when each bit lands.
01
Tell us about you.
Run the free audit at /audit, or message us first, no pitch deck, no slide tour, no long questionnaire. The point is for us to understand your business, what you do, who you serve, how a website fits in, what is and is not working, and for you to decide whether you want to keep talking. Plenty of chats end with us telling someone they do not need as much as they thought.
If you want the full picture, the £300 Marketing and Automation Deep-Dive at /marketing-automation-audit gets you a proper consultation, a detailed written audit, and a fixed quote for the work. The £300 is credited against any build, so it is never wasted. Only once you have read the quote and agreed does anything bill.

We get everything set up.
Before any building starts, we sort the boring-but-important bits so you never have to. Your domain (registered in your name, or moved over if you already have one), fast hosting, and your business email set up properly, SPF, DKIM and DMARC done right so your email stops landing in spam. If your quote includes bookings or ordering, we also wire that up, along with your simple CRM and your Google Business Profile.
You do not touch a hosting dashboard, a DNS console, or a registrar control panel, that is all ours to handle. Your hosting runs on UK/EU-based, GDPR-friendly infrastructure, so your data and your customers' data stay close to home. We tell you what we are setting up; you just say yes.

03
We build it by hand.
We design and build your site by hand, written around your trade, not a recycled template. No account manager, no "the developer assigned to your project", no call centre, one accountable point of contact throughout. A short video walks you through progress as it goes, so you are never seeing the site for the first time at launch. A private preview link is live early and updated as we go.
We get the bones right first, the pages and the structure, then the words and the look. If you change your mind on the wording or photos during the build, that is normal and no problem. You see every change as it happens, there is no big "reveal day" where you cross your fingers.

Timeline Most simple sites are live within a working week. Builds with bookings and marketing take a little longer.
04
We launch it.
Going live is planned, not a panic. We sort everything the week before, your domain pointed the right way, your email kept working, links from your old site sent to the right new pages, and uptime checks switched on. We talk you through the plan; nothing goes live without your nod.
The switch itself usually takes under an hour and we do it quietly outside your busy times. If you had an old site, it stays reachable for a few weeks as a safety net. Once everything is settled, we check it all, every link, every form, every contact path, and send you a short plain-English launch summary.

We keep it running.
The monthly retainer is the whole point. Hosting, security, keeping it fast, your business email, small edits, opening-hours changes, all of it is ours to keep on top of, for as long as you are a client. You do not touch a dashboard or a control panel. Same-day small edits are included: text changes, image swaps, a new service, no extra invoices.
What is included is set by your quote, not by a fixed package. Ongoing management starts from around £295/month and scales up with what you need: bookings, reminder texts and review requests, local marketing over email and SMS, a monthly content piece, or a multi-site setup. Cancel any time, you own your code and your domain, so you walk away with everything. Nothing is held hostage.

Where this lands versus the alternatives.
Versus an agency. Less faff. No project manager scheduling weekly status calls, no “discovery phase” upcharge, no “the client asked for blue” surprise invoice, no account manager who re-reads your brief every quarter. You message us. We build it. Our name is on it.
Versus doing it yourself (Squarespace, Wix, WordPress). You look after nothing; we look after all of it. On a monthly retainer you never touch a hosting bill, a domain renewal, an SSL warning, a plugin-update prompt, or a security patch again. The do-it-yourself route hides those costs in your evenings, in the day you have to learn what an email record is at 8pm on a Sunday.
The honest framing: this is your whole online setup, built by hand and run for you, on one monthly bill, with one accountable point of contact. If that is more than you need, say so on the first chat. We will tell you.
